LA NOTEBOOK: Isabel Marant on Melrose Place

The new Isabel Marant shop @8454 Melrose Place
The new Isabel Marant shop on Melrose Place is a must-see. It just opened up last month. Walking up to it, I didn't even recognize LA designer, Rose Tarlow's previous Melrose House. The only thing that gave it away was those amazing windows. It's now a bright white, chic LA cottage, with a welcoming succulent garden in front, large open windows, and a cavernous high ceiling. It is is quite cozy and flooded with sunshine all day, it makes you never want to leave. Forget shopping, I'm moving in!

It's clear she is having fun in LA.  Check out the billboard that kept it all under wraps.

Isabel loves LA

and now she's introduced these cool skateboards. They are a limited addition of 25 made in collaboration with Heritage House Paris, and are sold exclusively at her LA and Paris stores,  they even come with a their own tote bag.

She has adopted LA big time. Maybe she's sick of those dreary French winters or just wants to have  fun!
